WHY THE “VOLUME CUBE”?
Five years at the National School of Fine Arts, some professional experiences, in which I had to make maquettes in volume, and my own research, to create and adopt this medium.
It is now like a principle guiding my creation and my escape. More than two full years have been devoted to this extensive research on the forms, materials, assembly techniques and techniques of collage, for this principle of creation.
My creations are the result of a simultaneous work on the shape and color. They are there to decorate a room and look sometimes like “paintings” in three dimensions, Sometimes like sculptures.
The assembly of a multitude of volumes "Cube" as work surface induces a decomposition of the subject represented. Whoever looks at the painting sees the pattern in its entirety only when his eye is perfectly centered on the painting.
The various white sides of volumes "Cube" create a vibration and a feeling of movement when the beholder moves. The subject depicted is moving from static to animated stage, thus offering a work changing according to angles of perception.
The more I work the more I tend to create works in which the colors give way to white, where the volumes and shapes become the center.
My next challenge is to find different materials to deepen my creations.
