Claude SAUZET was born in 1941 in a family of minors in the Gard. While followig classic studies he enters the school of "Fine-Arts" of Nîmes.

Claude SAUZET's work becomes attached to the representation of life. His characters meet in the evreyday life: The intimacy of house, the streets, the markets, the terasses of coffees, the circus, the carnaval; any treaty in warm colors, ochre and gold when the lighth holds a big importance.

His fame quickly exceeds border: Japan, United States and in numerous countries of Africa.
